He came out the same day to diagnose the problem, which unfortunately was that the entire furnace really needed to be replaced (not surprising -- it was 40 years old!). Our 35 years old heater was not willing to work any more when the winter season came before thanksgiving. I found Jorge from local business listing and called him. He came and trying to fix the heater starter first.. But later he found though the new starter worked ok but whole heater was running unstably, hence to be dangerous. He suggested to replace the heater and he offered fair price. When he began to order the new heater, he found the model we have agreed with is out of stock from his supplier. He brought another model which was quite more expensive than the one we have agreed with. He did not ask me for paying more!!! And his work is clean and perfect!

I am so grateful to Jorge for his skill in repairing the floor heater in my brother-in-laws house. The heater had been non-op for more than three weeks and it took a bit to actually find him, but Jorge DOES work on floor furnaces (I found most companies only work on central heating/ac). Once I found him, he got the job done quickly. I appreciate the thoroughness of his work and I do apologize to him - the heater was totally a mess! We were lucky there was no fire - I think he had to clean about 10 lbs of dust/cat hair/heater dirt out of the enclosure to make it safe. Once I finally had his contact info he was 1) quick to respond, 2) great at diagnosing the issue with the heater 3) ordered the parts which came over the weekend and 4) came right back today to make the heater work again. I have the phone number for Affordable Heating & A/C in my phone - I won't lose it! In October I will be calling for a "safety check/tune up".

We contacted Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning for some duct repair on our home. We knew we had damage and heat leakage due to opossums living under our house a while back which torn into the ducting. Jorge replied back very quickly and came out the next day to inspect our 26-year-old ducting. Jorge took many pictures of the ducting. His detailed explanation of the damage was very thorough and professional. He provided us with different options that were available to us in addition to how our ducting runs should be re-routed for better efficiency. Since our ducting was old and inefficient, we opted to have it all replaced with aluminum flex ducting instead of the foil type that was originally installed. Jorge and his crew arrived right on time for our scheduled appointment. They removed all our old ducting. Then replaced and re-routed the new ducting installing dampers where needed to better regulate the heat distribution. After installation, he sealed all the vents and tested the air flow to direct it more evenly. The process took only 2 short days to complete. We are very pleased with the level of professionalism and workmanship Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning provided us. Every step of the process was explained to us and he answered all our questions. We will definitely call Jorge the next time we need work done. We appreciate supporting local businesses and Jorge was a great find!

I contracted Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning for 3 separate AC/HEAT and plumbing fixture and main line replacement and repair projects in the past 3 years. All of this work is excellent, and there were no surprises or problems. All of these jobs were time critical because of hot weather and emergency repairs. I appreciate that George was very accommodating and worked with my tight schedule, difficult access, and stressed out tenants. He was upfront with pricing, straightforward, and was very reasonable. After working with 5 different companies over the past 10 years, including some of the big names I have found that George is consistently more competent, efficient, easier to work with, and he is also better at diagnosing the issues in the first place - which reduces the pain.
I need to add that the recent work he did for me was during a pandemic/lockdown. This added complexity did not in any way effect the quality of work, his work ethics, the value he provided, or the cost. He was clearly aware of risks and took care to work safely. I generally do not write reviews but in the context of the current situation I would even add a 6th star to all businesses that add value to society under these circumstances. These businesses are profoundly important to getting through this and deserve that recognition and some additional visibility.
